Sweet Treats

Superfood Hot ChocolateIf your anything like me then you’ll love a big cuppa hot chocolate on these chilly winter days. This isn’t your usual recipe which is loaded with sugar and dairy, it’s a superfood packed recipe full of deliciousness to satisfy your sweet tooth. This recipe has recently become a favourite of mine. It’s super luscious and contains real food ingredients plus it’s packed with so much goodness. It’s the perfect mid-morning or afternoon pick me up which will warm your insides and make you feel amazing all season long.
Caramel Filled ChocolateIf you have a sweet tooth like me but still want to be health conscious I would definitely recommend giving this recipe a try. When you bite into these the gooey caramel just melts in your mouth. It’s so heavenly. The other great thing is they literally are so simple to make, you can’t really go wrong. You can make these in any moulds you have, even an ice tray. I like to make a big batch of them and keep them in the fridge for whenever my sweet tooth strikes. It’s also a recipe to impress your guests with! Small, delicious and guilt-free, how great is that!
Stuffed Medjool DatesThis oh-so-delicious sweet snack is perfect for almost anything, pre-workout, post-workout, an afternoon pick-me-up, post-dinner treat. I absolutely love medjool dates, they are so sweet and chewy with a wonderful caramel-like flavour. Medjool dates are an energy powerhouse, loaded with beneficial nutrients. They are a fabulous source of fiber, potassium, copper and iron. These are the perfect snack if you are short on time but need a quick pick-me-up as the sugars in them break down easily providing you with energy. By adding tahini or nut butter you also get the added benefits of protein and healthy fats to help satiate you between meals. You can literally throw these together in one minute. If you haven’t tried stuffed Medjool dates yet you’re in for a treat, it’s a match made in heaven!
Raw Chocolate Vegan PieThere is nothing not to love about this raw chocolate vegan pie, it's absolutely heavenly and is of course super healthy too! The best part is, is that it can be whipped up in under 10 minutes, as long as you have a food processor you're good to go. And no surprise it contains one of my favourite ingredients, raw cacao! As I am a chocolate lover I love to indulge every so often and this pie seriously hits the spot every time. Chocolate is such a decadent snack and feels luxurious to your soul. Chocolate affects our mood-hormones (serotonin, endorphins and phenylethylamine), which is why so many people turn to chocolate for emotional comfort. Raw cacao is a superfood and is high in antioxidants, minerals and some vitamins making it a healthier choice when you feel like you want to treat yourself. This is a feel-good recipe, as you know with every spoonful you are putting real wholesome and nourishing food into your body.
Raw Caramel SliceThis raw caramel slice is probably the best thing I’ve ever made. It’s ridiculously yummy and is full of nutritious ingredients. My partner is also obsessed with it, even going to the extent of making it for himself, and he’s not a baker/raw food maker so that’s a big deal! This slice is full of real wholefoods that will make your taste buds run wild. For those who have never tried tahini and maple syrup together you are in for a treat! It is the best and most delicious combination ever! If you need to make a dessert or anything sweet for a party, I couldn’t recommend this enough. It’s gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free. There’s nothing not to love about this!
Blueberry Banana Oat MuffinsThese healthy blueberry, banana oat muffins are super yummy and easy to make, you can whip up a batch in under 10 minutes, then pop them into the oven to cook away. Perfect for breakfast or a healthy snack. I often make a batch on Sundays to enjoy throughout the week. Perfect for kid’s lunch boxes too! They are bursting with goodness and are dairy and refined sugar free.
Chocolate Bliss BallsI am totally obsessed with bliss balls! They are an absolute staple in my fridge. They are the perfect healthy snack you can go to during the busy working week, and the best part is you can whip up a batch in under 10 minutes! I usually make a big batch in the weekend, then during the week I grab a couple and put them in a container to take with me during the day. These keep me satisfied and satiated between meals, especially if I'm after a quick boost of energy or have sugar cravings. They are also delicious after dinner for a little treat.
