This slow cooker pulled pork is a great recipe to make ahead of time. It can be used in so many different ways. You can enjoy it alongside a salad for a quick dinner, make pulled pork tacos, or my personal favourite is to make pulled pork nachos, using organic corn chips, a big fresh salad and guacamole - delish!

Ingredients:

 1kg pork shoulder
 1 tbsp garlic powder
 1 tbsp onion powder
 1 tbsp paprika
 1 tbsp oregano powder
  2 tsp himalayan salt
  1-2 tsp ground pepper
 1/2 cup chicken bone broth
 1 tbsp mustard

Method:

1

Cut all the rind off the pork.

2

Place all of the seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper) in a small bowl and mix well to make the spice rub.

3

Season the pork generously on both sides with the rub. Rub it into the pork well with your hands.

4

Pour the bone broth into the slow cooker, add the pork on top, and slow cook for 6-8 hours.

5

Shred the pork using two forks (I often do this step an hour before the slow cooker ends, then toss the shredded pieces around the juice in the slow cooker, and pop it back into the cooker for the final hour). Serve your desired way, then enjoy!!
