This is a very basic and classic recipe I have been using for years. Over the years I have played with many different flavours of hummus but always come back to this one because it's so delicious and can be added to so many different dishes. It's a great kitchen staple to have in the fridge, I love to use it as a quick snack alongside chopped veggie sticks or add it ontop of a salad.
Ingredients:
1can chickpeas
2tbsptahini
1/4-1/3 extra virgin olive oil
juice of 1 lemon
1handful of chopped parsley (optional)
1-2 garlic cloves, chopped
Salt/pepper to taste

Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. If the consistency is too thick for your liking simply add some water, adding 1 tbsp at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
